The Masonic Grand Lodge held a reading challenge with the students at Booth Elementary during the 3rd nine weeks. The grand prize was a bicycle, which went to Aurora Miller. Aurora was able to make some request for the bike, which will be built just for her. The bike will be built and delivered at a later date. To our surprise, 28 students met their reading goal and will be acknowledged with a trip to Rend Lake to watch their fine arts department's performance of “Flummoxed Fairy Tales.” Congrats to all!!! Not pictured: Aubree Ballard, Owen Kreps, Lyric Mead, Lane Newton, Charles Starns, and Charlotte Wilkins.

A team building activity was held during our inservice last Friday. Each staff member at Booth Elementary wore a paper plate on their backs titled "I am..." Throughout the day, staff members were encourage to write positive traits about their coworkers on the plates. At the end of the day, the staff members were able to turn their plates over and read them. This activity turned into a humbling reminder to each staff member that they are noticed for what they do for our students and staff.
